Rep. Knott Marks Milestone with WWII Veteran Grandfather
January 17, 2025
WASHINGTON, DC – Upon being sworn into his first term in Congress, North Carolina Representative Brad Knott struck a new milestone in his family’s long tradition of service. With him to mark the occasion, and most notably, was Brad’s grandfather, J.T. Knott, Jr., a 99-year-old WWII veteran and lifelong North Carolinian.
“It is a real privilege to have my grandfather here in Washington and a memory I will treasure. From being wounded by the Nazis in World War II, serving in multiple capacities – both elected and privately - for decades in North Carolina, his deep commitment to his faith, church, the betterment of others around him, and his family all serve as a tremendous example and blessing for me personally,” Rep. Knott said. “He, in many ways, embodies the very best of this country’s principles. I am thrilled he could make it to the House of Representatives to see the 119th Congress swear in.”
