House Homeland Security Committee Welcomes Rep. Knott
January 16, 2025
WASHINGTON, DC – Today, House Committee on Homeland Security Chairman Mark Green released the following statement welcoming Congressman Brad Knott to the committee:
“I am pleased to welcome Representative Brad Knott to the House Homeland Security Committee in the 119th Congress,” Chairman Green said. “Rep. Knott’s experience prosecuting cartel members, human and drug traffickers, and criminal illegal aliens will prove invaluable as we work to restore public safety and ensure our nation’s laws are enforced.”
“As a prosecutor, I worked alongside all levels of law enforcement to combat human traffickers, drug cartels, and transnational criminal organizations––all of which have become emboldened over the past four years,” Rep. Knott said. “Harmful open-border policies and weak enforcement of our laws have degraded communities across the country and created a public safety crisis that affects all Americans. I look forward to joining the House Committee on Homeland Security to end the exploitation of our borders and secure our nation from growing public safety threats."
Rep. Knott will serve on the Border Security and Enforcement and Oversight subcommittees.
