Knott's News: July Update

Note from Brad:
July marked seven months into this new Congress and seven months into my time as NC-13’s representative. It has been my profound honor to serve you in the House of Representatives and to work with President Trump to deliver major wins for our district, state, and country.
So far, my team and I have delivered on more than 700 constituent requests, including casework, tours, commendations, and more. We also helped recover $1.11 million for constituents. This work is my top priority in Congress, so if we can help you with any federal agencies, be sure to reach out.

On Capitol Hill, I’m proud to have passed two bills through committee, a critical milestone and momentum builder. The Stop Illegal Entry Act will sufficiently punish criminal illegal aliens and send a clear message that we will no longer tolerate their presence and criminal activity in our country. The Tren de Aragua Border Security Threat Assessment Act directs the Department of Homeland Security to examine the vicious gang’s operations in the U.S. and defeat them once and for all.
While I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished, there is plenty more to do, and we’re already working on it. I’m back in NC-13 for the August District Work Period to meet with constituents, hold helpful service events, and bring your concerns back to D.C. in September. If I don’t get a chance to speak with you this time, I highly encourage you to reach out to my office with your feedback or drop by if you’re ever in Washington.
Thank you for your support as we continue this important mission. God bless you and God bless the United States of America.

Brad Knott
Member of Congress
Brad Kicks Off District Work Period in Person County
At the start of the August District Work Period, Brad met with hardworking North Carolinians at two cornerstone institutions of Person County.

First, he stopped by the LP Building Solutions OSB facility in Roxboro, NC – one of just five in the U.S. Their investment in NC-13 supports the homebuilding supply chain with high-quality, made-in-America materials.

Then, he toured Duke Energy. This plant is a major employer and critical resource for several of our surrounding regions, not just North Carolina.
PSA: Brad Announces Two New Events in NC-13
Brad’s team is hosting two events in NC-13 designed to bring resources and support directly to constituents.

On August 12, as part of a broader effort to streamline access to support for veterans, Brad’s team is hosting a Veterans Resource Event in conjunction with Harnett County.

On August 11 and August 12, he’s partnering with the State Department to help constituents apply for passports or renew old passports.

Brad Picks Up Key Endorsements for the Stop Illegal Entry Act
Brad’s legislation with Congresswoman Stephanie Bice, the Stop Illegal Entry Act, empowers law enforcement to sufficiently punish illegal immigrants convicted of felonies and deter them from ever entering the U.S. again.
Key law enforcement and immigration groups have taken notice and publicly endorsed the bill.

Fraternal Order of Police National President Patrick Yoes had this to say:
“As law enforcement officers, we believe that those who repeatedly break the law should be held accountable for their actions, which includes those who illegally enter the United States and engage in illicit activities like drug smuggling, human trafficking, and money laundering. When these criminals are subsequently removed from our country and then are able to re-enter and proceed to commit further offenses, it means the system is not working. Our officers fight crime every day in our country, and they should be assured that dangerous individuals who are deported are unable to return.”
Brad, Congress Pass Rescissions Act
Leading up to passing the One Big Beautiful Bill, Brad called to further rein in reckless spending. On July 16, House Republicans did exactly that, passing the Rescissions Act to rescind taxpayer funding for woke programs, partisan media, and misaligned USAID initiatives.

Brad Participates in New Media Row
Republicans have made a concerted effort to expand accessibility for independent media, which legacy networks have boxed out in the past. On July 15, Brad participated in the Republican Study Committee’s New Media Row and highlighted many of the major wins from the One Big Beautiful Bill.
