Knott's News: August Update

September 30, 2025
Blog Post

Note from Brad:

Congress is back in session following an August work period where I had the opportunity to connect with constituents, deliver services, and hear their concerns. If I didn’t get to meet with you this time around, be sure to keep an eye out for upcoming events. You can also reach out to my office at any time; we love chatting with constituents!

Of everything I discussed with North Carolinians, the Working Families Tax Cuts certainly stood out as top of mind for many.

From no tax on tips and overtime to the Rural Health Transformation Program, this legislation is among Congress’ greatest achievements in recent memory. After four long years of the Biden-Harris administration stifling business, limiting consumer control, and pushing radical America Last policies, the American people were staring down a draconian tax hike. In our district alone, a middle-class family of four would see a nearly $2,000 tax increase.

Instead, through our efforts, the average family will have an additional $10,000 every year. We've rewritten the tax code to reward hard work through no tax on tips and overtime, and families making less than $50,000 per year will see the largest percentage tax break.

We've rolled back unnecessary, costly Green New Scam regulations that limit your choices as a consumer and empowered businesses to expense equipment, making it easier to renovate and grow.

These new measures of relief are already having a positive impact on hardworking North Carolinians in our district.

Last week, I visited Luna Pizza Café in Clayton where the staff told me how “Not Tax on Tips” and “No Tax on Overtime” has been a blessing, a weight off their shoulders, and a means of retaining their team members.

There is plenty of work to be done, including passing my bill, the Stop Illegal Entry Act, to close the loop between border security and deportations to safeguard our communities. I am eager to resume legislative work here in DC so that we can continue delivering wins for YOU, the American people.

Thank you for your support as we continue this important mission. God bless you and God bless the United States of America.

Sincerely,
